Water is amazing, and I drink as much as I can. But it gets boring sometimes, so I am always finding ways to make my water more fun lol. This is one way I brighten my water.
When I am at the office, I drink water from the cooler, but I do take a bottle of detox water to work sometimes. I make a jug of this and keep it in the refrigerator. I drink it in the mornings, afternoons, and I take some to work. I call this “detox water” because of all the goodies I add.
Ingredients:
Water (I use bottled water)
Half a cucumber- sliced
Half a lemon- sliced
Mint leaves
P.s. You can change the quantities of the ingredients to suit your taste.
Directions:
Fill jug to 3/4 with the water, then add the other ingredients one at a time. Stir and place in the refrigerator for a few hours, this allows the water to be infused with the flavours.
Drinking this throughout the day is a good way to clean the liver, regulate alkaline pH levels in the blood, help with better digestion, and even helps you lose weight!
Cucumber:
Cucumbers are high in many vitamins and minerals such as Vitamins C and K, Potassium, Magnesium, and Manganese. It is also rich in antioxidants that help the body fight off infectious diseases. Cucumbers promote hydration, is great for weight loss, and is very refreshing.
Lemon:
Lemons are an excellent source of Vitamin C, contains citric acid that helps prevent kidney stones, and is also a source of iron. Lemons help to improve digestive health and may aid in weight loss.
Mint:
The first thing you will notice about mint is its awesome aroma. Mint is a good source of Vitamin A and antioxidants. Mint may help relieve digestive problems such as upset stomach and indigestion.
