New Year, BETTER ME!!

Happy New Year!! Yes, I am a bit late lol

It is very cliche hearing “new year, new me”. Some people tend to associate a new year with cleansing their mind, body, soul, and starting fresh. But that’s really not how it works, in my opinion.

Starting fresh, and becoming a better person takes work, you can’t just wake up one day and be different. It’s a process that you have to commit to and work at every day. Whether it’s improving your lifestyle, financial situation, health, etc. you have to want it. You have to want it so bad that you can taste it! Hmm, kinky lol.

These are some of the tips that I follow over the years, and they have benefited me. I have been consistent with these, and my quality of life has improved.

Tip #1- Practice Self-Love

Love yourself and be kind to yourself. Don’t get angry and sulk over mistakes you made, learn from them instead. Be kind to your body: eat healthily, and practice good hygiene. Make time at least once a week for self-care. Take a long bath, apply a face mask, have some wine, listen to music, and unwind. Protect your mental health by removing negativity. This takes us to tip #2.

Tip #2- Remove Negativity

Protect your mental health. One of the worst things you can allow yourself to do is having toxic people in your life. Misery loves company, and that’s how hateful people behave. They are miserable and will drag you down to their level until you are as unhappy as they are. They can only be happy by making others sad. When you observe this behaviour, end it! Remove people from your life if you must!

Tip #3- Be Kind, Give Back

Help others whenever you can. Be available to listen and give advice. Sometimes kind words are all that someone needs. Give back to those in need, even if it’s just a coffee. Volunteer if you have the time.

Tip #4- Immerse Yourself

Be present. Give your full attention to whatever you’re doing. Focus on where you are and what you’re doing. This will allows you to completely absorb every experience, whether it’s good or bad. And as they say, you learn from experiences.

Tip #5- Work Hard

Whatever you’re trying to improve takes work. Don’t give your energy to the wrong things. Use your time and energy to work on you. Try to do something every day that benefits you, no matter how small it is.

Tip #6- Stay Focus

Success brings enemies. Haters will start pouring out of the woodwork; even friends will turn on you. Stay focus, and don’t get caught in the drama. Make a list of your goals and focus on achieving them.
