CHANGE YOUR LIFE IN A MONTH

You can change your life in a month. Seems unrealistic right? It is not. You can start making small changes every day that will eventually add up. Change is a frame of mind that makes us feel uncomfortable but that’s how you know it’s working.

Here are a few ways you can start making changes in your life:

Decide Who You Want To Be

When you realize that you are not happy with who you are or even a part of what you are, then the need for change comes. You will start recognizing that you need to do some things differently to get from where you are to where you want to be. Take some time and focus on this. Write down the changes you want to see in your life, writing things down puts them more into perspective.

Heal

Sometimes we don’t realize that past trauma is what is holding us back. It can create fear and stops us from pursuing our dreams and goals. Go to therapy, you may think you don’t need it but you will be surprised at the benefits of therapy. A therapist will help you let out and deal with anything that’s been a block in the way you think and act.

Guard Your Heart And Protect Your Energy

Remove anyone and anything that steals your peace. Some people are energy vampires and they can steal your energy, some of them even do this deliberately. If you noticed that every time you are in the presence of a particular person you suddenly feel drained, then avoid that person. If it’s a co-worker or a family member that you cannot avoid then guard your energy with crystals (see here). You need your energy to achieve your goals.

Learn To Say NO

You don’t have to always be the yes man/woman. We often agree to things we don’t want to do just to please others, to be a good friend, or even to be liked. But why?? Why be uncomfortable to make someone else happy? Yes, it’s good to be kind and helpful to others but I am talking about the people who are always expecting us to show up for them no matter the cost to us. You know them. You don’t have to bend over backwards to be liked, be your own person and the right people will come along. Create boundaries and enforce them. BE A LEADER, NOT A FOLLOWER.

Self-Talk. Beware Of How You Talk To Yourself

You are human and you will make mistakes, don’t be hard on yourself when this happens. Don’t talk down to yourself in anger and frustration, even your inner voice has power and calling yourself stupid will eventually start sounding like the truth to you. Instead, take note of what went wrong and how you can do it better next time. Use your failures as stepping stones.

Focus On YOU

Don’t care how green your neighbour’s grass is, focus on making yours greener. No, it’s not a competition but rather don’t let the standards set by others be your guide. Instead, be better and set your own standards. Don’t compare yourself to others, your stories are not the same. Don’t shift your focus to others and become distracted, instead give your energy and focus to YOU. Put yourself out there and risk it all. “What if I fall?” Oh but my darling, What if you fly?”― Erin Hanson

Develop A Routine

Whether it’s a workout, skincare, or a simple morning routine, create one and stick to it. Sticking to a routine creates discipline and when we see the positive results of the efforts we’ve made, it’s a rewarding feeling. Create new habits. Unlearn some old habits. Add new things to your routine and remove anything that isn’t working for you.

Self-Care

Make time for YOU. Practice some kind of self-care every day, no matter how small. Enjoy a bath, apply a face mask, do a 5-minute meditation. Anything that makes you happy and peaceful, do it. Book monthly spa days or even just a monthly facial, whatever is within your budget. Work on your appearance, yes, it matters. You will be surprised at the boost your confidence level will have just by showing up well-dressed. Spend some time on your makeup, remove the wrinkles from your clothing, and smell heavenly! Always put your best self forward.

Be Happy, Be Positive

No matter how bad it gets, remember IT WILL GET BETTER. Be happy with what you have and where you are. Be grateful for small mercies. Gratitude is such a fulfilling feeling and it makes you the richest person even if you are broke. Being thankful releases only positive energy that will be returned to you as we know from the law of attraction (see here).

Have accountability

Holding yourself accountable means you manage your work and life tasks responsibly, fulfill your obligations and reflect on your work conduct consistently. This can help you achieve your goals and eliminate self-doubt. You also accept the outcomes of your decision-making processes and assess any changes you want to make in the future. People who hold themselves accountable can complete tasks more effectively and predict outcomes with more accuracy. Regardless of your goals, accountability can be a powerful strategy for personal development. It may be useful to learn and practice certain strategies to maximize your opportunities for success.
